An update on Fundraising as we approach Christmas
2022 has proven to be a year of increasing economic challenges that has negatively affected all sectors. Despite this, we have been fortunate to have secured a combination of awards and donations from Trusts and Organisations, newly acquired donors to our monthly giving programme – The Saltire Donor Club, and donations through Individual Giving. We are also actively seeking to increase membership of our Saltire Donor Club.
Our CEO Shona once again participated in the CEO Sleepout on 21st November at Lord’s Cricket Ground. The annual event brings together business and charity leaders to experience the difficulty of sleeping outdoors first-hand, whilst raising money for their chosen charities supporting the homeless.
There was an incredible atmosphere this year, not dampened by the low temperatures. I would like to thank Shona, Hugh Pym, Paul McFarland, Borderline Chair Jessica Cadzow-Collins and her son Ralph for taking part. If you would like to donate to their pages, they are still open (see website News pages), and a final figure on the amount raised will be shared in the first update of 2023.
Winter always adds to our clients’ difficult circumstances, and despite the country being able to slowly recover from the effects of Covid, we expect that the worsening economic climate will make this winter more challenging than last year and increase client numbers. Thank you for any support you can give.
