Advocacy
Get your voice heard.
Our Advocacy Workers are here to ensure your voice is heard, your wishes are respected, and you are taken seriously. An Advocate can help you to take action on a particular issue.
Please note this not a legal service.
We can support you:
- To challenge and appeal benefits decisions.
- At appointments such as assessments and tribunals.
- By liaising with services on your behalf.
- To raise formal complaints; for example, about the NHS or housing disrepair.
- In gaining access to services which may improve your standard of life.
Advocacy at ScotsCare is:
- Person-centred: we speak up on your behalf.
- Non-advisory: We can provide information to help you decide what to do next.
- Issue-based: We make an agreement with you, to support you with a set issue.
- Confidential and independent.
To contact our Advocacy service, please email help@scotscare.com or call the ScotsCare helpline on free phone number 0800 652 2989 to discuss.
