Befriending
We bring ScotsCare volunteers and clients together to help reduce loneliness and improve emotional wellbeing.
Blether Buddy Befrienders
Befrienders provide a supportive, reliable relationship during difficult times or periods of isolation. Our carefully selected volunteers can visit you at home for a friendly chat once a week, or accompany you on outings in your local community.
Blether Buddies provide a friendly chat over the phone at a regular time each week.
For more information call us on 0207 240 3718 or email us.

Become a Befriender
Befrienders commit to one meeting a week for a minimum period of 6 months. If you have time to spare and want to get involved in what can be a very enjoyable and rewarding activity, we’d love to hear from you.
If you want to be involved and have less time to give, Blether Buddies commit to one or more phone calls at the same time each week from their home or workplace.
We provide training, ongoing support, out of pocket expenses and opportunities to meet other befrienders, through social events and volunteer meetings.
